MY STORY: My name is Jeff Walters and I’m a professional photographer living in Clarkston, MI with my wife Sophie. For as long as I can remember I have loved taking pictures, and my friends and family will tell you that I have always had a camera in my hands. Like many, I dreamed of turning that passion into a career but as life tends to do, it took me on a long winding road before starting my photography business.
I grew up in Michigan and after graduating from college I went into the family business of insurance and investments. I spent nearly ten years working with individuals, families, and small businesses on their financial planning needs before I changed careers and moved to New York City to work in television production. I was thrilled to be in a creative industry and enjoyed creating TV shows for a variety of networks and digital streaming outlets. However I missed working for myself and after several years working in development for a production company, I decided to pivot once again and finally turn my passion into my profession. In 2021 Sophie and I bought a house and moved back to Michigan.
Not only am I passionate about photography but my business allows me to utilize my creative talents along with my people skills and experience working for a variety of clients on achieving their goals. I love working for myself but more importantly I love working for you. Let’s get started!
MY PROCESS: To me, photography is storytelling and whether it’s a family portrait, sporting event, headshot, private event, or a promotional image for your business, I try to capture a specific feeling with each photograph. Every one of my photoshoots is personalized to fit your needs. I meet with each client prior to taking a single picture to discuss your goals for the shoot and what you hope to get as a final product. Whether you want digital images for sharing on social media or a website, prints for framing, or a range of elaborate image related products, together we design a plan to meet your expectations.
